Actress and Saturday Night Live alum Kristen Wiig listed her smartly updated midcentury modern home In Silver Lake just about two months ago, and it’s already sold for over the asking price—nearly setting a record for the area—Variety reports.
The property, which sits on a hillside near the Silver Lake Reservoir, fetched $5.225 million. That’s “more than twice the amount any single-family home has sold for in the 90039 zip code” in more than three years, according to Variety.
It’s also the second-highest sale recorded in the zip code, coming in behind architect John Lautner’s Silvertop, which in 2014 sold for $8.55 million to Luke Wood, president of Beats by Dre.
Wiig’s former home was built in 1952. The three-bedroom dwelling holds original elements, such as hand-painted tiles and decorative window screens, while cedar ceilings and custom cement-tile floors run throughout.
Designed by architect Albert Martin, it now features renovations and additions by The Archers and Taalman Architecture.
Wiig purchased the home in 2014, paying $1.4 million. She listed it in October for $5.125 million.
Wiig, who sold a stylish home in Los Feliz’s Franklin Hills neighborhood last year, also owns a Case Study House in Pasadena that she purchased in December 2017 for $2.96 million.
