A second presentation to the Del Rey Neighborhood Council’s Land Use Committee shows design tweaks to a proposed mixed-use development at the intersection of Culver and Inglewood Boulevards.
The project, which would replace a laundromat, a single, family home, and a duplex, calls for the construction of a five-story edifice featuring 24 one- and two-bedroom apartments, 620 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, and 30 basement parking spaces.
MIKA Design Group is designing the project, which is portrayed as a contemporary low-rise structure wrapped with metal panels, and featuring open-air decks at its second and roof levels. The new rendering reflects design changes from an earlier presentation to the Land Use Committee in September 2018, showing improved perimeter landscaping and an additional setback at the top floor.
A timeline for the project, which is proposed by an entity called 4460 Inglewood, LLC, has not been announced.
Other mixed-use buildings are also under construction nearby, including a 97-unit development at Inglewood and Washington Boulevard, and a 47-unit development at Culver and Slauson Avenue.
