I can’t consume enough corduroy this fall. It’s become like sartorial drug, where my addiction grows stronger with every purchase and wear. Luckily, all my favorite brands have satisfied my appetite for the ridged, velvet-like fabric in a variety of styles and colors. And I’ve now amassed quite the corduroy collection, which includes a skirt, a jumpsuit, a jacket and multiple kick-flare pants. So, here I am, in the final weeks of 2018, and what is my ultimate closet craving? Another pair of corduroy pants.
The cords in question come in a vibrant magenta hue and hit just above the belly button — right where I like it. They’re snug at the waist and roomy at the hips, which is my ideal fit. They’re vastly different from anything I own, being that my entire winter wardrobe is built on neutral tones. Plus, they come with a fun matching belt. I may have gone overboard with cord this year, but hopefully I’ll move on in 2019. Until then, you can find me walking down the street looking like a retro sofa.
