Percolate Tea is now open along Melrose. The loose-leaf and boba shop has an original Sawtelle Japantown location from 2017 (and will be opening in Los Feliz later this spring) but just picked up limited hours at their Melrose space just west of Fairfax before the new year. Now they’re primed for a big grand opening party on Saturday, and keeping hours from noon to 6 p.m. until then. 7959 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles.

Pain Pizza is back again, dropping a one-night cafe pop-up at Highly Likely in South LA. The French bread pizza night starts at 4 p.m.
There’s a grunge takeover happening at Brack Shop Tavern on January 14. The Downtown bar is throwing it back to the early ‘90s with partners Sampson Creative Enterprises, doing a full retool of the interior design while also pushing out period-appropriate jams, food, and drinks.
