BlackEyePatch has captured its roster of 2000s hip-hop-indebted pieces and a selection of all-new graphics in an eclectic and reference-packed editorial.
The visuals include a firey shot of its now-sold out sticker-covered MODERNICA Shell Chair, beachside shots capturing its denim pieces in the sea, and racing-indebted looks spotlighting some of BlackEyePatch’s best garments. A warped "Do Not Remove" graphic — which draws inspiration from racing motifs — comes as a sticker and has been reinterpreted on T-shirts and hoodies. It inspires other pieces such as an all-orange look that updates racing overalls with a pair of sweatpants, a quilted gilet and sweatshirt, which are seen next to a race-spec Mazda MX5 from the late ’90s.
BlackEyePatch has also enlisted NENE of Yurufuwa Gang for its lookbook. The Tokyo-based label will be launching a pop-up store at Opening Ceremony in New York later this year. Check out the editorial above and a number of previously seen SS19 and upcoming FW19 looks below.
