Bath Blessing Sanctuary Bath Box January 2019 Review
Here is the info sheet for the box’s contents.
Also included is a checklist to help you in blessing various aspects of your life. Though it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, I appreciate the section of “Bible verses to ponder,” as I can always use a little guidance in that department. I also like the suggestion to treat your friend to a movie – sometimes we forget how little things can mean so much to others!
Bath Blessing Babe Soap
Bath Blessing Box includes a mix of in-house products and products from other brands, and this soap is an in-house item. And, oh my, does this smell good. The scent is a custom blend (I think I detect a touch of eucalyptus?) and it is refreshing and soothing at the same time. This is made with shea butter, oatmeal, honey oil, and pink Himalayan sea salt, and It was hydrating to my skin. Subscribers could have received this soap or the restorative cleansing bar, which was a blend of frankincense and lavender.
Grounding Light Soothing Chamomile Salts, 4 oz – Estimated Value $12 (based on a different 4 oz bath salt found here)
These organic bath salts are a blend of Epsom salt, dead sea salt, and chamomile essential oils. The chamomile was delicate and soothing rather than being overbearing or artificial. Only a little bit of salts is enough to scent the water and provide the benefits of salt, so this is enough for multiple baths.
Yippee and Co Lavender Shea Body Butter, 4 oz
This shea body butter is made with almond oil, Vitamin E, coconut oil, beeswax, and lots of shea- there are actually small chunks of shea throughout this lotion that melts into your skin as you apply it. It has a natural lavender scent that makes this a perfect lotion to apply after a bath and before bed, as the lavender can help you drift off to sleep. This was incredibly hydrating to my skin, and it left me feeling soft and smelling great.
Whispering Willow Natural Body Wash in Lemongrass, 2 oz – Estimated Value $1.88 (buy the 16 oz version for $15)
This body wash is made with organic jojoba oil, organic olive oil, organic coconut oil, organic olive oil, and organic essential oil, so not only does it get you clean but it also is incredibly hydrating for a soap. The lemongrass scent is a really earthy, natural scent that I enjoyed, and a little bit of the body wash went a long way. I imagine if you splurged for the full-size version of this you would be stocked up for a while, and along with lemongrass it is also available in lavender, peppermint, and rose.
Bath Blessing Bath Bomb in Lavender and Lemongrass
Lavender and lemongrass seem to be a reoccurring scent theme throughout the box, but I am okay with that because the combination smells amazing. While this was fizzy and smelled delightful, it didn’t change my bath water to a different color. I know that some people are hesitant about the artificial colors that can be in bath bombs, so this would be a great alternative to still be able to relax in a lovely scented bath.
Natural Annie Essentials Ylang Ylang and Rose Candle, 2 oz – Retail Value $7
First off, how beautiful is this candle? I am loving the floral pattern on the lid and the chic gold tin. I am not sure if I have ever smelled ylang-ylang and rose together before this candle, but it smells beautiful. It is a delicate scent that is very feminine, and this is the perfect size to light in your bathroom before a nice, relaxing bath. The candle is made with soy wax and it burned evenly.
The Verdict: I thought my first experience with the Sanctuary Bath Box from Bath Blessing was lovely! This felt like a more “grown-up” version of bath and body products, where rather than focusing on fun and unique, the focus was on relaxing scents and high-quality products. I also really like that you can specify when you sign up whether you want bath bombs, shower steamers, or a mix! To my knowledge, this is the only bath box that you can use everything from even if you don’t have a bathtub! Value-wise, I couldn’t find a value for everything in the box, but I would say that you’re at least breaking even, but you’re probably coming out a few dollars ahead. The exclusive nature of the items included definitely adds to the value, too.
