BAPE‘s iconic Roadsta silhouette is making a grand return for Spring/Summer 2019, having been revamped into a jogging shoe.
Dubbed the Roadsta Express, the updated model has been equipped with a Vibram outsole and an EVA midsole, helping to provide light-weight and cushioned support for the wearer. The vintage-styled sneaker has then been dressed in three different retro colorways of "Navy/Grey/Red," "Teal/Burgundy/Blue" and finally "Black/Grey."
For the "Navy/Grey/Red," the main body has been dressed in grey, while Navy has been applied to both the heel and toe guard. Contrasting red comes in on the STA motif. The second pair also sees a grey body with teal coming in on both the heel and toe vamp. This time the STA is colored in sky blue. Lastly, the darker colorway has been embellished with a metallic STA motif on both the lateral and medial sides.
The update on the revered sneaker is also due in part to Tokyo hosting the Olympic Games next summer. BAPE’s Roadsta Express will land at BAPE retailers worldwide and bape.com this Saturday, May 25 for a retail price of ¥20,000 JPY (approximately $182 USD).
