A$AP Rocky has just released his latest single "Babushka Boi" with an accompanying, equally-fitting music video. Directed by Nadia Lee Cohen, the visual features A$AP Ferg, Schoolboy Q, A$AP Nast and Kamil Abbas. The creative short film pulls inspiration from Chester Gould’s Dick Tracy, a 1930s comic strip featuring a detective who is in a constant battle with law-breaking gangsters.
For the video, A$AP Rocky is the leader of his mischevious crew wreaking havoc on a small town. Sticking true to the Dicky Tracy theme, the crew wears makeup similar to the illustrated characters in the 1990 film of the same name.
As Rocky and his friends steal from a bank after breaking out of a jail car, they transform into well-dressed criminals and galavant throughout the town. The end of the clip is marked by a face-off between Rocky’s crew and cops dressed as literal pigs.
