Upon releasing a range of exclusive items created with GUESS, 88rising is now teaming up with Hajime Sorayama for another lineup of streetwear staples. The collection, supporting the group’s Head in the Clouds II album, features tees, hoodies and crew neck sweatshirt sporting original works by the artist.
While arriving in black and white iterations, the pieces are accentuated with Sorayama’s signature "Sexy Robot" cyborg graphics atop bright-hued backgrounds like pink, orange and green. The designs are complete with "HITC II" and 88rising branding on the chest.
“Working with 88rising and seeing them reinterpret my work has been inspiring and refreshing," Sorayama mentioned in an official statement. "I love their creative energy and collaborating on new artwork specifically for their Head in the Clouds II album has been a real joy – it’s nice to see that my robots can surf!"
In addition to the first collection, more product drops like outerwear, knitwear and accessories are slated to debut throughout the fall season, leading up to the release of Head in the Clouds II. Initially released at 88rising’s Head in the Clouds festival in Los Angeles, a limited number of items from the Sorayama x 88rising collection is available for purchase now at 88NIGHTMARKET.com.
