If you can’t make it out to Austin for FADER Fort at SXSW, you can catch a preview of the event in The Bronx. The event will celebrate the launch of FADER’s new book Setting The Stage, which shows never-before-seen portraits and behind-the-scenes photos of Kanye West, Cardi B, Drake and more.
Robyn at Madison Square Garden

Are you still listening to Honey on repeat? Then be sure to purchase tickets for Robyn‘s Madison Square Garden show, with prices starting at $72 USD. This will be her only New York City, but if you miss her you can catch her in D.C. or Boston.
Melting Point 2019
Where: Elsewhere, 599 Johnson Ave, Brooklyn
When: Friday March 8, 11:30 p.m. EST
If you’re going to party anyway this weekend, it may as well be for a good cause. All proceeds from Elsewhere’s 2019 Melting Point party will go Al Otro Lado, a bi-national organization assisting refugees and immigrants at the U.S.-Mexico border. Expect a mix of techno, house and electronic music until the wee hours.

2019 Oscar Animated Shorts
Where: Nitehawk Cinema, 136 Metropolitan Ave, Brooklyn
When: Monday March 4 to Thursday March 7, times vary
If you missed out on Domee Shi’s Bao, or any of the other shorts nominated for Best Animated Short at this year‘s Oscars, now’s your chance to see them all on the big screen. Catch one of the multiple screenings at Williamsburg’s Nitehawk Cinema this week, with food and drink available to purchase inside the theater.
Jean-Michel Basquiat Inauguration
Where: The Brant Foundation, 421 East 6th St, Manhattan
When: Wednesday March 6 to Wednesday May 15, times vary
The East Village is getting its own museum. The Brent Foundation opens this month, with its inaugural exhibition dedicated to Jean-Michel Basquiat. Entrance is free, but you have to reserve a time.
The Armory Party 2019
Where: MoMA, 11 West 53rd St, Manhattan
When: Wednesday March 6, 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. EST

Patrick Martinez “That Which We Do Not See”

The new show from Patrick Martinez will showcase cakes decorated with civil rights leaders. This is the Los Angeles-based artist’s first solo exhibition in New York City, but if you can’t make it to the inauguration you can check it out until April 20.

Sneakersnstuff Nite Jogger Launch Party
