Two US mass shootings leave at least 29 dead
Twenty people have been confirmed dead, with more injured, after a gunman opened fire in Walmart in El Paso, Texas.
The shooting, believed to be the eighth deadliest in modern US history, is now reportedly being treated as domestic terrorism.
Within 13 hours, another shooting had taken place in Dayton, Ohio, killing nine. The Ohio gunman’s sister was named among the victims.

Heathrow airport strike action that was planned for Monday has reportedly been called off.
A reported 2,500 workers planned to strike on Monday in a row over pay after the Unite Union rejected a pay offer, reportedly leading to Heathrow airport cancelling 177 flights.
There are reportedly talks to stop further strike action on Tuesday.
Police are investigating an incident at Tate Modern this afternoon. The gallery will remain closed for the rest of the day.

Tate Modern on lockdown after reported ‘attempted murder’
The Tate Modern museum was on lockdown over the weekend after a six-year-old boy was reportedly ‘thrown from the 10th floor’, with a teenager involved arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Following the incident, Metropolitan Police announced the following statement:
‘Officers are in the vicinity of the Tate Modern following an incident this afternoon. A child fell from height and is being taken to hospital by London’s Air Ambulance. We await an update on his condition. A teenager has been arrested in connection with the incident.’
Taking to Twitter, the Tate museum confirmed in a statement: ‘We can confirm a 6-year-old child was taken to hospital today following an incident at Tate Modern & is in critical condition. A 17-year-old male was arrested on site. Tate is working closely with the police. All our thoughts are with the child and his family.’

Meghan Markle turned 38 on Sunday, with royal family members taking to social media to wish the Duchess of Sussex a happy birthday.
