Earlier this month famed imprint Vetements teamed up with Reebok to drop a scribbled-on Instapump Fury. Now the Parisian trend-setter is back with a new sneaker toting a similar graffiti look, the White Georgian Graffiti Sneakers in both low-top and high-top versions.
The new sneakers are a unique ode to designer Demna Gvasalia’s home country of Georgia, which has had a troubling history with its immediate neighbor Russia in the aftermath of the Soviet Union’s collapse. Both low and high-top iterations of the sneakers don a variety of anti-war messages imprinted on both the upper and the soles of the shoes in various hand-drawn text and imagery. Made in Italy, the shoes are made up of canvas materials on the uppers, donning metal eyelet vents near the tongue and feature a rubberized toe cap. Rounding off the sneaker is the imprint’s rubber logo branding on the heel.
Take a look at the sneakers above, and if you’re interested in purchasing them you can find both versions at SSENSE’s web store. The low version retails for $980 USD while the high-top is priced at $990 USD.
