According to reports, Toys "R" Us is set to return after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy back in 2017 and ending its U.S. operations.
Richard Barry, who was an ex-Toys "R" Us executive and current CEO of new company Tru Kids Inc., is currently working out a relaunch planned for the 2019 holiday season. Tru Kids will be opening free-standing stores and stores within existing shops. Barry and his team of fellow ex-Toys "R" Us executives are looking to open 10,000 square foot stores and establish an e-commerce presence, a vital element missing from the famed toy purveyor.
