The event saw State of the Union attendees from both parties present, but it wasn’t the speakers or even the speeches that got the world talking this week. Instead, it was the dress code, with women encouraging each other to wear Suffragette white.
The unofficial dress code was urged to send a message to the President in support of women’s rights, something that high profile women from Nancy Pelosi to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez followed.
