From Starbucks cups to Ikea bags, many brands cover their products in a rainbow pattern as a way to show support for LGBTQ+ communities during Pride month, and the beauty industry is no different.
The LGBTQ+ community has been hugely influential in the beauty world as brand founders, professional artists, and trendsetters. So, to show support, several brands are creating limited-edition lipsticks or special makeup collections to honor Pride. And while some companies just slap a rainbow label onto their beloved products and call it a day, the brands ahead are using their power to donate goods and/or funds to LGBTQ+ organizations that deserve our attention.
This year’s Pride comes at a time when supporting these organizations feels especially important because the Trump administration continues to attempt to restrict the rights of LGBTQ+ individuals in the U.S. Luckily, beauty brands like Urban Decay, Milk Makeup, and Tarte are stepping up and trying to make a real difference.

Harry’s
The shaving company Harry’s has launched a limited-edition Pride shaving set — complete with an iridescent razor handle, three blade cartridges, a travel cover, and a shaving gel — all encased in a box designed by queer, Madrid-based artist José Roda. One-upping a lot of other brands out there, this set donates 100% of profits to The Trevor Project, which provides crisis intervention services to LGBTQ+ people 25 and younger. Additionally, Harry’s has donated $200,000 to support The Trevor Project’s new on-demand training system that aims to increase the number of crisis counselors overall.

Urban Decay
To honor the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, which coincides with Pride this year, 25% of all proceeds from Urban Decay’s Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in the limited-edition shade Stonewall (a ruby red available June 6) will benefit The Stonewall Foundation, an organization that raises funds to support LGBTQ+ organizations, projects, and scholarship programs.

Tarte
YouTuber Jessie Paege, who came out as bisexual last year in a video that garnered 1.3 million views, has teamed up with Tarte to release a set with a mini mascara and a palette of rainbow eyeshadows. But rather than Tarte just simply donating proceeds, the brand has announced that it’s donating $25,000 to The Trevor Project regardless of sale numbers.

Milk Makeup
This set from Milk has everything you need to get Pride parade ready, including body glitter and mascara that won’t budge no matter how humid it is. Packed in a slick white bag, 100% of proceeds up to $50,000 go directly to The Center, a New York City-based organization that offers health programs and family support services to LGBTQ+ communities.

In collaboration with queer artist Hey Rooney, makeup brand HipDot is releasing a limited-edition pressed glitter palette fittingly packed with all the vibrant colors of the rainbow. The best part though? Ten percent of proceeds go to the Anti-Violence Project, which works to end all forms of violence against LGBTQ+ and HIV-affected communities and supports survivors through counseling.

Kiehl’s
For every transaction made at any NYC Kiehl’s store during Pride weekend (June 28-30), the brand will donate a product to the Hetrick-Martin Institute, which works to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ youth 24 and younger. On top of that, Kiehl’s is giving a separate monetary donation to the Hetrick-Martin Institute. The brand has also donated funds to NYC Pride and Christopher Street West, a non-profit that advocates for gay rights and organizes Los Angeles Pride.

Kush Queen
Kush Queen, a company that covers all things CBD, is celebrating Pride by releasing its own Pride Collection. The limited-edition lineup includes everything from CBD lube to a relaxing, rainbow CBD bath bomb, and 20% of all sales will be donated to the Trans Lifeline.
