With Paris Fashion Week closing out a whirlwind fashion month, all the sumptuous looks have been excitedly marinading in our minds, and it’s finally time to share some of the biggest trends we can expect to see, buy, and wear come fall. Today, we’re honing in on the shoes, of which there were plenty to suit every sartorial taste. On the fall menu are square toes to add a stylish touch, Mary Janes for a dose of sweetness in your outfits, chunky-soled stomping boots ready to combat the winter elements, and shearling fabrics to get us feeling oh so cozy as the temps start to cool. Oh and don’t put away your sandals once summer has ended. The runways convinced us we’ll be wearing our strappy stunners with socks and tights once the leaves turn brown.

Your feet are about to get a whole lot happier come fall. The plush texture was seen adorning everything from mules to flats and sandals. Nanushka took the trend to the next level and dyed the shearling fabric in a trending violet hue. It’s officially time for our toes to get toasty.
While there was a fair share of pointy toes on the runways, it was the square-toe silhouette that really made its mark for fall. How about swapping your pointed-toe pumps for a square-toe version instead?
We’re partial to a moody floral dress in fall, but this season, designers graced the pretty print on boots instead—from delicately embroidered prints on ankle boots at Brock Collection to bright and bold blooms at Zimmermann.

It’s crazy that the presence of a single strap can tremendously alter the vibe of a shoe! We love the charming aesthetic of Mary Janes, and so do the runways, it seems. The strap is a thing now, and we’re definitely not mad about it.
If you’re a fan of the ’70s, then you’re going to love one of the biggest trends we saw on the F/W 19 runways: platforms. From boots to loafers and evening shoes, start practicing your balance now because the bigger the sole the better.
Don’t bother putting your spring and summer sandals away come September, because the minimalist strappy-sandal trend continues on into the fall. It’s time to toughen up and embrace a cool winter breeze flowing between your toes. Alternatively, add chic metallic socks or tights with your sandals for a fashion girl–approved look.
