I won’t even tell you how many pairs of boots I actually own for fear of embarrassing myself as well as actually counting them, but let’s just say it’s a lot. So many, in fact, that at any given moment, I have boots occupying four different closets across America, with the majority in my own and a sprinkling in my loving parents’ and in-laws’. Am I proud? No. But would I have it any other way? Probably not. After all, I love boots! Whether they are knee-length, over-the-knee, mid-calf, or my favorite, ankle boots, I’ve been obsessed with the fall-ready footwear for as long as I can remember, and since moving to New York a few years ago, my appreciation and collection have both grown.
So, given my “passion” as well as our proximity to the coming season, I thought I’d share with you the 11 brands I think are the best for buying boots right now. Of course, these aren’t the only pairs I’m endorsing for fall, but if you’re looking for a label with options aplenty, these are the ones to check out. From Proenza Schouler to Topshop and everything in between, just keep scrolling to get started.
Looking to invest in one jaw-dropping pair of statement boots for the season ahead? I suggest choosing from Paris Texas’s standout selection.
Of course, Zara is in here! Whether you’re looking for a trendy pair or something basic, Zara has you covered. Plus, when winter rolls around, it always has the best selection of affordable, waterproof boots.
I love Tibi’s shoe offering because you always know you’re buying something cool but that you won’t get sick of after one season. It’s a skill few brands have mastered better.
I’ve never regretted a Saint Laurent shoe purchase. In fact, I have pairs from five, six, and seven years ago that I still wear because they still feel relevant (and have held up). It doesn’t get better than that.
Tamara Mellon’s high-quality shoes are built to last and impress. One of my most-used pairs of boots last season was her Rodeo, which is still available to buy and will definitely be back in my rotation come this fall.
Basically, any item from By Far is a recipe for outfit success, so you really can’t go wrong no matter what you choose. Pair any of the below with jeans and a sweater, and you’re gold for the rest of the year.
I know. This is kind of a no-brainer, but just when I think Proenza Schouler shoes can’t get any better, they do! Right now, I love its selection of chunky, rubber-soled ankle boots.
Ganni is already a fashion-girl favorite, but I think it’s only a matter of time until the Scandinavian brand monopolizes the entire boot market with its Western-inspired pairs.
The Row’s shoes may look simple, but the quality and attention to detail are unparalleled. Buy a pair, and you’ll wear it more than any other pair you own, making the brand truly worth the investment.
I’ve been buying Topshop boots since high school, and I love them as much today as I did then. They always look expensive, no matter how much they actually cost, and there’s always a range of trends to choose from.
I’ve always loved Jimmy Choo’s shoes but have come to appreciate them even more in recent years. They’re the perfect combination of classic and current.
