Terry Crews has confirmed that a White Chicks 2 is in this works in an interview on Sunday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
After joking about staying in shape back in March in case the hit 2004 movie would be given a sequel, Crews recalled a conversation with Shawn Wayans — who wrote, produced and starred in the film alongside his brother Marlon Wayans — on Sunday saying, "You know what, I actually got with Shawn, and he was like ‘man we doing it, we getting it going’."
White Chicks became an instant comedy classic when it released 15 years ago, generating $113m USD at the box office. The film saw two disgraced FBI agents go undercover to protect Brittany and Tiffany Wilson — the daughters of a tycoon — from being kidnapped.
Earlier this year, Marlon Wayans told MTV, “There have been some rumblings happening, and a lot of people want us to do it, so me and my brothers have been talking."
Crews also told The Talk on Monday that White Chicks 2 could see a pop song performance — similar to his iconic rendition of Vanessa Carlton’s "A Thousand Miles" — saying, "I think the modern day equivalent to that might be Carly Rae Jepsen "Call Me Maybe"."
Nothing else has been teased as of yet, but check out the interview above for the full scoop on White Chicks the sequel.
