teamlab Brings Digital ‘Megaliths’ to Abandoned Japanese Bath House

teamLab is currently hosting a slew of digital installations as part of its annual "A Forest Where Gods Live, Ruins and Heritage" exhibition. One of its most captivating installments is a sculptural presentation entitled ‘Megaliths in the Bath House Ruins.’ Located within the sprawling Mifuneyama Rakuen Park on the Japanese island of Kyushu, the art collective displays a series of large-scale digital structures inside a dilapidated establishment. Visitors are encouraged to walk through the towering three-dimensional displays that transform in real-time by a computer program. Motifs of seasonal flowers and waterfalls portrayed on the structures, creating an otherworldly atmosphere.

Hideaki Takahashi of teamLab created the soundtrack for the installation, which is sponsored by Grand Seiko. ‘Megaliths in the Bath House Ruins’ is on view from now until November 4. Visit teamLab’s website for further details.
