A/D/O by MINI will soon launch an immersive installation entitled Urban Imprint by Studio INI — a multifaceted collective founded by designer and engineer, Nassia Inglessis. The sprawling artwork will fill the Brooklyn creative space’s outdoor courtyard, transforming the space into a cocoon-like environment that interacts with visitors. The large-scale piece was made using 3D-printed glass and cutting-edge software to make the installation responsive.
“I wanted to explore what it would look like to create a more symbiotic and ‘natural’ relationship between us and our built environment. In nature, the human self is both part of an ecosystem and an architect of the constructed space,” explained Inglessis to A/D/O.
The launch of Urban Imprint will coincide with New York City’s NYCxDesign festival taking place May 10-22. Head over to A/D/O’s website to learn more.
