SOPH. has strived to incorporate a fashion-focused lifestyle since its inception –- from releasing various home accessories and interior goods over the past several years, the Japanese imprint has excelled at providing tasteful, home–oriented goods to its customers and fans. Now the brand is taking it one step further, launching an offshoot label titled “SOPH. For The Room” –- a project holistically focused on homeware goods. With the launch, they will be releasing a variety of one-of-one Eiffel Side Shell Chairs in collaboration with Darren Romanelli and Modernica The Case Study ®.
Los Angeles-based artist and vintage reworker Darren Romanelli and his DRx Romanelli label have long collaborated with the two brands. Now the three parties have come together once again to produce 20 unique chairs that utilize vintage F.C.R.B, vintage Nike, and vintage military fabrics. All chairs utilize Eiffel-styled legs and use a base fiberglass mold. No two chairs are the same.
Check out the various pieces above, and if you’re interested in purchasing one of the chairs, they will be dropping via SOPH.’s web store on March 11. The retail price is set at ¥150,000 JPY (approximately $1,345 USD).
