Sneaker Charleston Gets Saucy With Saucony Jazz “Carolina Mustard”

Charleston’s Sneaker is making the most of the waning summer season with a special sneaker designed in partnership with Saucony. Taking on the classic Jazz Original Vintage silhouette, the Southern sneaker boutique has crafted a tasty "Carolina Mustard" colorway.

Carolina Mustard isn’t any mere bottled condiment; it’s a specific kind of mustard-based barbecue sauce, a spicy flavor ideal for grilling up some seasonal snacks. The thematic sneaker sports a gun rubber outsole and off-white midsole to anchor the bold upper, which sees premium suede rendered in the namesake yellow-y hue. Leather Saucony branding and a breathable nylon tongue add some textural contrast, with more subtle details arriving by way of "SNEAKER" embroidery on the heel, a co-branded insole and an extra set of laces packed in a faux sauce packet.

The Sneaker x Saucony “Carolina Mustard” Jazz Original Vintage celebrates the Lowcountry’s native mustard BBQ sauce. Traditional cuisine was a natural source of inspiration for our team of foodies, with the full yellow suede upper drawing from a much-loved South Carolina staple: mustard-based BBQ sauce. Each pair comes with a sauce packet containing an additional lace option and will be available in-store at 11am EST and online at 1pm EST on August 3rd ($80, unisex sizes 4-14).
