After Nike revived the beloved Air Jordan 1 in one of its most iconic colorways, the brand returns with another nod to the legendary basketball player. This time, the Air Jordan 1 will be released in a new "Obsidian" colorway.
From his enrollment at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1981 and his championship-winning shot in 1982 to his first time wearing the original Air Jordan 1’s to court in 1985, Michael Jordan has made the Air Jordan 1 an iconic basketball shoe. Nike honors the original Air Jordan 1 with a new Obsidian colorway with a tan, dark and light blue leather upper. The Obsidian and University Blue overlays honor Michael Jordan’s alma mater while creating a style that brings the courts to the streets.
The Air Jordan 1 in "Obsidian" is set to release on August 31 on Nike’s website for £130 (approx. $160 USD).
