Toronto-based artist MorMor, real name Seth Nyquist, has returned with his first project of 2019, an EP entitled Some Place Else. The Canadian multi-instrumentalist follows-up last year’s successful debut EP, Heaven’s Only Wishful, staying true to his signature sound that incorporates a wide range of genre sensibilities. The new six-track project includes previously released soul-stirring cuts “Outside” and “Pass the Hours.”
In a recent statement alongside the project’s release, Nyquist shared thoughts surrounding the meaning behind the EP: “I wrote these songs during a time where I couldn’t shake my demons…I was forced to confront what I had been masking in smiles and metaphors.”
You can listen to the MorMor’s latest Some Place Else EP below. He is currently embarking on an ongoing North American tour.

Hi,? I’m here in Portland as we just played our first gig in this nice city. It’s settling in that I finally get to share these songs with you, which I hold close to my heart. There were times where I wanted to go in other directions but something kept pulling me back. I wrote these songs during a time where I couldn’t shake my demons; and I was forced to confront what I had been masking in smiles and metaphors. It was a long winter. I feeeeel better now!!!! I’m happy to say that Some Place Else is out now on all available platforms!!! It’s yours now. ??
