Both Olivia Jade and Bella Giannulli have broken their five-month social media silence by proclaiming to their (cumulative) 1.6 million Instagram followers that it’s their mother’s birthday and they love her.
As you may have heard, Loughlin was nabbed by federal authorities in March for her alleged participation in a nationwide college cheating scandal. Loughlin is accused of spending a massive chunk of change to bribe her daughters’ way into USC. Turns out Bella and Olivia Jade aren’t collegiate-caliber rowers, despite being recruited as members of the school’s crew team.
Since the FBI charged Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli on March 12, Bella and Olivia Jade had been silent on social media, minus a few likes on Instagram. Olivia Jade, a popular YouTuber, hasn’t uploaded to her channel since March 10.
Several gossip sites had reported that Olivia Jade in particular was deeply angry at her parents, and wasn’t on speaking terms with her mother. Entertainment Tonight reports that their “family situation has improved. Lori knows they will all grow and learn.”
They may have to grow and learn behind bars—Loughlin and her husband face up to 40 years in prison for the alleged crime. The couple’s next court appearance is scheduled for August 27, when they plan to present a “united front.”
