In The Berrics‘ latest interview, LA Rams running back John Kelly sits down with the Californian skate staple to discuss his skateboarding history, childhood and favorite pastime.
The skating institution caught up with the NFL as he trained for an upcoming match and then took his deck to The Berrics skatepark. John Kelly discusses how he got into skateboarding, talking about growing up in Detroit and how skating in the city alone allowed him to explore the creative side of his passion.
The NFL running back reminisces on times from his youth, such as not having grip tape on his board for a year, being an outcast in the city and how he almost didn’t play football. Rounding off the interview, John Kelly praises the Detroit skate scene for its diverse skateboarding community and how his journey with skateboarding has taught him "to keep pushing."
