Set to join next month is Kengan Ashura, the anime adaptation of Yabako Sandrovich’s famed manga. Kengan Ashura originally had its world premiere at Anime Expo in July 2018 and won a fan voting contest in 2015 to receive the adaptation.
In the manga’s story, businesses and merchants wager large sums of money to hire combatants for unarmed hand-to-hand fighting matches. Used as a way to resolve disputes with each other, once Tokita Ohma, nicknamed "Ashura," joins in, he is able to crush his enemies and catches the attention of the big bosses.
Check out Netflix’s official blurb below:
"Underground gladiator Tokita Ohma fights on behalf of business mogul Nogi Hideki, who wagers mega-business deals on the outcome of these brutal matches."
Kengan Ashura lands on Netflix July 31.
In more Netflix news, the streaming site dropped a full trailer for The Naked Director.
