Renowned Japanese Americana imprint KAPITAL is well known for its extensive approach to all things denim, with nearly every product offering a slight variation due to its artisanal methodology. If there’s one item the brand is undoubtedly known for, it’s the various patchwork denim jeans that have been seen on the likes of John Mayer, Travis Scott, and many more. Now the brand has returned with a brand new take on its signature 12oz OKABILLY Gypsy Patchwork Jeans in a head-turning “Ashbury Dyed” iteration.
The jeans feature a white denim base, with various patchwork pieces throughout that have been darned to the pants. Visually the pants feature a tie-dye like dyeing technique, where the various pink and indigo hues offer the perfect canvas for the brand’s idiosyncratic Smiley and Flower motifs that have been directly embroidered into the pants. More details include the leather “KAPITAL” branding patch on the rear, as well as a brass fly zipper.
You can check out the jeans in the gallery above. A full-size range is currently available via KAPITAL’s webstore, with a listed price of ¥67,824 JPY (approximately $640 USD).
For more related news, the brand recently dropped Smiley-emblazoned snakeskin slippers.
