These two!
This week saw the return of the Oscars, with the 91st Academy Awards at LA’s Dolby Theatre bringing awards season to a close.
But it wasn’t Olivia Colman’s speech revealing Emma Stone’s real name or Rami Malek falling off the stage after his Best Actor win that made the most noise. Instead, it was Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born duet.
The two Oscar nominated leads took to the stage to sing a steamy rendition of Shallow at the piano, something Bradley is said to have been very nervous about.
‘I’m sure I’ll be terrified,’ Bradley told E! News ahead of the show, recalling that his performance with Gaga at her Las Vegas residency was ‘terrifying’.
‘I just had to zen out and just pray that I wasn’t gonna ruin her show,’ he recalled. ‘She just crushed it for two hours. I thought, “Please let me just be on pitch.”’
It seems that he had similar nerves ahead of his Oscars performance, with legendary singer Jennifer Lopez even having to step in and offer the actor some advice.
