It was just yesterday that I reported on Jennifer Lopez and Chrissy Teigen stepping out in the same accessory trend, and now they seem to be on the same wavelength about yet another trend. If controversial denim trends tend to get your attention, you may recall that in late May, Teigen wore a pair of pleated jeans while out in NYC. The return of the pleated jeans trend can likely be attributed to the sartorial return of all things 1980s, but the modern pairs are significantly more flattering (trust me—I’ve tested a few pairs). Clearly, J.Lo is on board with the controversial trend too as she just stepped out in a pair that she styled in the most classic of ways.
Lopez, who is currently on tour, made a stop in Isreal to perform in Tel Aviv this week before spending the day sightseeing in Jerusalem with her family. She dressed appropriately for the occasion, wearing a white button-down shirt and white sneakers with her high-waisted, straight-leg pleated jeans. The trend is quite the departure for skinny-jeans loving Lopez, but based on how chic she looks in the trend, we hope it isn’t the last time she wears it.
