Sure, being a royal had its advantages – the fashion, the princes, the tiaras, the castles – but it definitely also has its drawbacks, from the end of privacy to the dreaded rumour mill.
No one knows this more than the two millennial Duchesses, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle.
The two women, both 37, have endured an endless stream of online bullying since becoming royals, with the latest rumours revolving around a supposed feud between the pair.

The Duchesses are said to have fallen out for several reasons, with the most reported being Meghan allegedly ‘making Kate cry’ during Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress fitting, her decision to relocate to Frogmore Cottage instead of becoming Kate and Wills’ neighbours, and reportedly Meghan’s treatment of her staff.
This week however royal expert Katie Nicholl opened up about the supposed feud in a promo for an upcoming documentary on the fall out – and her reasons aren’t what anyone expected.
According to Katie, it’s the brothers not the sisters-in-law that started the divide.
‘William was quite concerned that the relationship had moved so quickly,’ Katie Nicholl explained in the documentary. ‘And being close to Harry, probably the only person close enough to say to Harry, “This seems to be moving quickly, are you sure?”’
She continued: ‘I think what was meant as well-intended brotherly advice just riled Harry. Harry is hugely protective of Meghan. He saw that as criticism. He interpreted that as his brother not really being behind this marriage, this union, and I don’t think things have been quite right ever since.’
The one hour documentary, Kate V. Meghan: Princesses at War?, will air on TLC in the United States on February 5th.
