Exclusive Look Inside Nike & Steven Harrington’s “Magic Hour” Exhibition

This past Saturday, Steven Harrington and Nike launched their collaborative “Magic Hour” exhibition in Los Angeles, California. The massive presentation featured a slew of diverse paintings, prints, sketches, and sculptures spotlighting Harrington’s signature motifs and a cast of characters from his oeuvre such as the tuxedo-clad Melo the dog and grinning Palm Trees. Another highlight is an outdoor mural located outside of the venue that spans 16 feet wide.

To further commemorate the event, the Swoosh enlisted the LA-based artist to design three classic pairs such as the Nike Air Force 1, Blazer, and Cortez. All kicks are predominantly adorned in white, embellished with vivid, co-branded graphics across their uppers and insoles. Moreover, apparel and accessories also launched at the partnered showcase.

04.22.19 ? Available soon. My Flyleather collaboration with @Nike will be available on the Nike SNKRS app this coming Monday at 7:00am PST. I’m so happy with how this project turned out: not just because of how clean the footwear printed… or because of how much I’m in love w Nike… But because the whole collection is made out of recycled materials that would have otherwise been sent to landfills. ♻️ I’m really excited to be a part of the future of fashion/function. I also keep getting asked about the colors we used on the collection – I pulled swatches of custom mixed paint directly from the paint colors I used for the “Magic Hour” exhibition. Sea foam greens, misty purples and sunset corals… Swipe for more.??
