Dove just launched its 0% Aluminum Deodorant collection, the drugstore brand’s first-ever aluminum- and alcohol-free underarm product offering. The line, which includes fan-favorite scents like Cucumber and Green Tea and Blue Fig and Orange Blossom, boasts daylong odor protection and promises to keep your pits fresh and moisturized – minus the potential side effects associated with slathering aluminum in your pits.
To be clear, Dove’s newest deodorants aren’t antiperspirants, which contain aluminum-based compounds designed to stop sweating by plugging up armpit glands. They’re just plain ol’ deodorants, which simply neutralize armpit stench rather than stifle sweat production.
Dove isn’t the first mainstream company to hop on the ever-growing aluminum-free deodorant bandwagon, as Secret recently released its own collection, too.
