To celebrate its momentous tournament this summer, the International Champions Cup joined forces with Daniel Arsham to launch a special 10-piece custom relic collection and merchandise. "My collaboration with ICC will celebrate the timelessness and universality of the sport while bringing it to the forefront for an enthusiastic audience in the US," said Arsham.
Evoking the aesthetics of Arsham’s ubiquitous Fictional Archaeologies series, the eroding collaborative sculptures include a replica of the soccer Ball Drake presented at the 2017 Manchester Derby ICC match in Houston alongside other cleats worn by superstar athletes. Another relic was inspired by the fledgling ICC logo. As for the apparel portion, the limited merch spotlights co-branded visuals across hoodies, jerseys, T-shirts, jerseys, scarves, and soccer balls.
From March 28-29, ICC will launch a unique pop-up shop designed by Arsham’s co-founded design studio, Snarkitecture. Two installments from the capsule will launch on each day. Thursday’s release will spotlight all-white merchandise while Friday’s drop will comprise of all-black merchandise.
