Brabus has unveiled its latest masterpiece, the 800, ahead of its Top Marques Monaco 2019 exhibit. Based on the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC+, the Brabus rework completely overhauls the performance-focused four-door saloon and gives it 800 BHP, 1000 newton meters of torque, a 0-60 MPH time of just 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 196 MPH.
The standard GT 63 S is capable of 0-60 MPH in 3.2 seconds and pairs this with performance figures that already tout it as one of the best offerings in its field — already claiming the title for the fastest four-seater production car around the Nürburgring race track.
As per usual, Brabus does not stop with just performance updates. The independent tuning company has given the 800 more stance and added a bulbous body kit that’s wider and even more aggressive than the original car. The 800 sits atop Brabus’ Monoblock Z "PLATINUM EDITION" wheels, which ride at 21-inches and 22-inches front to rear and the whole unit gets lowered by 25mm on the reprogrammed suspension.
A new stainless steel exhaust system is mated to the four-liter twin-turbo V8 engine of the GT 63 S and delivers two settings, "Coming Home” and "Sport," which is encompassed in a new rear carbon diffuser. The 800 is complete with a reworked interior and a myriad of Brabus badges and is available custom-built or as a conversion to any existing GT 63 S. No price has been revealed by Brabus yet, but expect it to be considerably more than the base $159,000 USD required for the standard Mercedes-AMG model.
