Since going undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft, LiAngelo Ball has drifted around without a true destination. That has not, however, stopped him from working. On his Instagram story on Saturday, LiAngelo Ball posted a pair of videos of him getting up shots in the Los Angeles Lakers practice facility.
After going undrafted and not signing with a Summer League team, Ball opted to play with the Los Angeles Ballers in the Junior Basketball Association (JBA) in their inaugural season. Along with brother LaMelo Ball, LiAngelo led the Ballers to a title. Once the season ended, Ball featured on the JBA USA team as they toured Europe.
In the middle of the tour, though, both LiAngelo and LaMelo changed their career paths with the youngest Ball opting to return to high school while the middle Ball opting to enter the G League player pool.
Since entering said player pool, though, no team has signed Ball for the season. With the JBA season and tours completed, Ball has no team to play for. As intriguing as a deal with the South Bay Lakers may be, the team is already chock full of guards, especially with the likes of Svi Mykhailiuk and Isaac Bonga spending many games in the G League this season.
