Freebie alert
Shake Shack is giving away free burgers in Los Angeles between now and Sunday. The move is meant to motivate fans to root for the Los Angeles Rams as they try to make the Super Bowl, and comes with a cheeky code “HUNGRY FOR MORE.” All anyone has to do is make it to a Shake Shack and order a Shackburger either in person, online, or via the app, then use the above code. It really is that simple, apparently, and with locations from Burbank to the South Bay, burgers really are that close. The deal runs today through Sunday.
Mercado to the beach
Modern Mexican option Mercado is set to expand to Manhattan Village in the South Bay soon enough. The signage is already up, per Toddrickallen, and a summer arrival is likely.
