Rosie O’Donnell has worn her hair gray for a number of years, but she just opened up to the Today show about the transition. When she started preparing for her role on the TV show SMILF, she realized that growing out her gray hair would take longer than she expected: "I thought, ‘How hard could it be?’" she said. "It takes years!" Until her hair could actually grow out naturally, they dyed sections of it gray for the role.
Now, her hair is mostly gray, but not all of her family members are embracing the change. In particular, O’Donnell’s youngest child, Dakota, is not a fan. "I have a 6-year-old who says, ‘When you pick me up from school, everyone thinks that you’re the grandma!,’ and offers up the advice, ‘Make your hair black again!’" O’Donnell recounted.
