The Los Angeles Rams will travel to the Big Easy for the NFC Championship Game against the New Orleans Saints, with a shot at the Super Bowl on the line.
Whether you honestly believed or did not believe the Los Angeles Rams would make it to the NFC Championship Game, they are here now. After an impressive and critical win over the Dallas Cowboys 30-22, they now get that rematch with Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints that fans have been clamoring for.
Rams versus the Saints just makes sense on Championship Sunday, doesn’t it?
Whether one of these teams is your team or not, this Sunday has all the trappings of a classic high scoring, whoever has the ball last will win, kind of feel to it.
One thing you shouldn’t look for a toss-up.
This game check all the boxes-
Young quarterback versus the veteran-check.
Sean I (Payton) against Sean II (McVay)-check.
High flying offenses-check.
Bright lights versus the Big Easy-check.
This is the best the NFL could have hoped for, with the exception of the networks wishing it was the Cowboys against anyone.
Hey, maybe next year fanboys.
This NFC Championship Game will be the best of the two games. If their earlier matchup is any indication, AND if they find anywhere near the fireworks of Rams versus the Kansas City Chiefs, Sunday in the Mercedes Benz Dome could be one for the ages.
So who wins and why?
Surprisingly, it’s not that complicated.
