EUREKA (KIEM)- A Los Angeles man accused of assaulting and robbing a Southern Humboldt family, will remain in jail.
Franklin Molina’s request of supervised release was denied Thursday in court. Molina was arrested on December 21, after leading law enforcement on a high speed chase that ended in Mendocino County.
Investigators say Molina robbed and injured a father and his daughter at a home on Sesame Loop Road in Island Mountain.
Molina and another male suspect are wanted for the crime. $30,000 along with several firearms and marijuana was taken from the property.
Molina will be back in court next Wednesday for his preliminary hearing.
