Plus Daniel Patterson and a new doner kebab shop
Crazy days
Los Angeles Daily News has a story out on the hectic nature of Christmas dining for the San Fernando Valley’s Chinese restaurants. Many get so inundated that they simply can’t keep up with demand, leading some to close outright and others to do take-out orders only as a way to help quell the crowds. It’s a good-problem-to-have scenario, to be sure, but with issues like staffing and consistency to worry about, one that owners have to take very seriously during the holiday rush.
Daniel does it
Daniel Patterson is trying to change the modern restaurant paradigm once again, says Skift Table. The Alta Adams chef/co-owner is focused more than ever one “bringing racial and gender equity, leveling out the pay gap, and building community to the forefront” with his new group.
