A shallow magnitude 3.5 earthquake was reported Thursday morning near Claremont, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 6:11 a.m. PST at a depth of 6.8 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was about two miles from Berkeley and three miles from Emeryville.
