Continuing on with the company’s long-standing reputation for pushing the boundaries of high-performance gaming, Dell-owned Alienware has just unveiled the largest gaming monitor the brand has ever released. Measuring in at a whopping 55 inches, Alienware’s latest creation is the world’s first OLED monitor at such a large size.
4K enabled, the monitor also has a 120Hz refresh rate with a response time of 0.5ms. To reduce screen tearing, Alienware has included support for AMD’s FreeSync, and has kept the bezels extremely thin to maximize the display. Hardware-wise, the monitor includes one DisplayPort 1.2 port, three HMDI 2.0 ports, four USB ports, built-in speakers with Waves MaxxAudio tech, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an SPDIF audio line out. AlienFX lighting comes standard for enhanced gaming ambience with a VESA mount so you can mount it on a wall if you so choose.
For the gaming aficionados or eSports players out there, Alienware’s latest 55-inch OLED 4K gaming monitor will be available September 30, for a hefty retail price of $4000 USD.
Elsewhere in tech, Bose has launched its newest 700 series headphones with improved noise cancelling capabilities.
