adidas TERREX, the Three Stripes’ outdoor performance gear division, has teamed up with White Mountaineering once more for a footwear and apparel capsule collection. Sport-adapted techwear pieces have been given White Mountaineering designer Yosuke Aizawa‘s touch, utilizing a variety of high-performance textiles and design details throughout the drop.
Steering away from the colorful footwear seen at White Mountaineering’s Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2019 show, the duo delivers two pairs of classic TERREX sneakers, reworked in distinctive block-colors. The adidas TERREX Agravic Speed LD combines teal, purple and red throughout its technical black upper. Color hits the toe caps, Three Stripes and eye-stays and an oversized White Mountaineering logo wraps around the heel in a reflective 3M print. A white leather triangle tab on the heel rounds off the performance-lead design.
Focused on stability and lightweight protection, the Boa sports a predominately blacked-out body, with blue accentuating the heel, midsole and sock liner. For the apparel, adidas TERREX and White Mountaineering look to nature with a rippling water graphic effect on black and blue garments. Each piece is designed to be synonymous with White Mountaineering’s angular design language and can be seen on the collections windbreaker, TERREX fleece jacket, 2-in-1 shorts and Trail Cross T-shirt.
The adidas TERREX x White Mountaineering collection will release on 17 May at adidas.com and select stockists worldwide.
In other adidas news, the footwear giant recently reported operating profits of $1 billion USD for 2019 Q1.
