A Polished Japanese-Influenced Restaurant Opens in West Hollywood

A team of hospitality veterans, including a chef from NYC’s Masa, joins forces

Pacifique, the latest project from veteran chef Joe Miller and partners Joel Herzer and Sean Leffers, opened in West Hollywood a few weeks ago without much fanfare outside of folks-in-the-know. The restaurant goes into the small and charming Le Petit Bistro space along La Cienega.

On the food side of things is Japanese-influenced California cuisine, a collaboration between Miller and chef de cuisine Danielle Sobel, formerly of Juku Izakaya and Masa in New York City. The menu features snacks, small plates, and larger dishes, like the pork chashu with udon, and Japanese chicken meatballs with frisée and blood orange. Pastry chef Eliot Pardo is charged with desserts while the Barlingual team oversee the beverage program.

Pacifique serves dinner daily from 5:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Look for weekend brunch to debut once the restaurant steadies its sea legs.
