Gyakusou‘s Spring/Summer 2019 Nike collection is rich with detail, executed in mostly-muted black tones for maximum versatility. Fans eager to get their hands on the cutting-edge performance collection need wait no longer, as the Jun Takahashi-designed range has finally hit stores.
Outerwear, base layers and tights are all on hand, enriched with a multitude of logos, prints and runner-friendly details. Shirts, jackets and bottoms all sport body-hugging mesh pockets for easy storage, with breathable panels ensuring comfort in even tropical climates. Prints include the iconic Swoosh, UNDERCOVER branding and Gyakusou logos, along with a reflective 68. Though the number has cropped up in Takahashi’s UNDERCOVER collections, its true meaning has yet to be confirmed (some estimate that it "reflects the harmony of personal freedom.")
Elsewhere, bright orange accents give the hooded "Tranform" jacket high-vis functionality, matching the rear strap of a branded mesh running cap. Short-sleeved, zippered jackets make it easy to layer up in summer rain, while longer-sleeved iterations boast double zippers for a customizable fit, bolstered by ultra-slim, surprisingly deep chest pockets.
