Enterprises — whether they operate in media, telecommunications, healthcare or technology can’t ignore the smart speaker as a channel to reach consumers. The device is rapidly transforming how consumers communicate, control their homes, and engage with brands and services. Half of US consumers now say they have one in their household, according to Business Insider Intelligence’s Emerging Tech survey.
Smart speakers aren’t paperweights — three out of four device owners say they use their smart speaker at least once a day, and over half use their devices multiple times every day. Just like the smartphone, the smart speaker is fast becoming an essential part of our daily routines and homes.
To better understand who is buying these smart speakers, which ones they’re purchasing, and what they’re doing with them, Business Insider Intelligence conducted a primary research study to gauge the state of smart speaker adoption. Our survey of 2,000 US consumers was conducted using Attest, and was fielded in June 2019 to a sample representative of the US population on the criteria of age (18-73), gender, and living area.
This deck offers a deep dive into the data from that primary research study, breaking out questions by generation, gender, household income, and other key relationships between characteristics of owners.
Learn if your company has access to the 35-slide deck on the state of smart speaker adoption.
